Level Up – Episode #5

In this episode, Hamblin defends his dismissive attitude towards the Dark Pact Warlock.  He may also admit he was wrong. So that’s one reason to listen right there.  Benoit also discusses his heroic tier neck slot choices, and we both talk about ways to make the game more fun if you’re feeling bored at the table. Also, as a reminder, the contest to name the angry die man in our podcast logo is still underway!  Get your entries to @Fr0nch, @BandOfMisfits, podcast@rovingbandofmisfits, or in the Episode 4 comments. The prize is a handpainted mini of your choosing.  By way of clarification, Benoit will paint the mini and ship it back to you, but if the shipping costs more than $5, Benoit will ask you to pick up the rest.

My Dark Pact Warlock approved of your groveling and grants you a reprieve from the evil spell he was about to cast… 😉

    Good ‘cast, guys!

I think I’ve found out why the Periapt of Recovery isn’t 100% lame. Besides giving you +3 to your non-AC defenses, as you noted, it gives you that +2 to Death Saves.

I think this is actually kinda good in that in increases the chances of getting to spend a healing surge while dying. As you know, if you roll a 20 on a Death Save, you get to spend a surge. This increases your chances of getting a 20 (or higher) from 5% to 15%.

That doesn’t entirely suck! I’ll wear it.
